We can help you to meet your data protection obligations. Our first piece of advice is free and it is: “Pay Your Data Protection Fee.
The ICO has already started to issue penalty notices to organisations that have failed to pay the new data protection fee. Those establishments are potentially facing maximum fines of £4,350.
Under new regulations that ‘went live’ in May 2018, all organisations that process personal data (show me one that doesn’t) are required to pay a fee that will fund the ICO. There are 3 tiers of payments. Most bodies will have to pay £40 annually. There is also a £60 fee and the top tier payers will pay £2900 every year. However, you will need to turnover more than £36 million to pay that.
